Are there any settings in Active directory that will allow administrators to delete user profiles from user computers? I know there is a function called delprof. I'm not sure, however, about how this applies to our situation.
You can delete the user profile on the machine by several methods, including delprof.exe. You can move the profile to a server location -- making the preexisting profile inconsequential, although it still exists. This is done in the user settings for Active Directory. You can also adjust the policy so that no user profiles are allowed to be persistent on the workstations. This is either done in by editing a Group Policy via Active Directory Users and Computers or by adjusting the policy locally via the local policy editor on the system. Of course if you simply want to remove the profile, you can just delete it by remotely connecting or establishing a remote desktop session if the workstation is set up for it.
