Cisco VPN software will not install, can't disable sharing

I have a Win2k Pro system that was once used as the "router" connecting the local network (a Win2k domain) and a two-way satellite connection to the Internet. The system has since been redeployed as a user desktop, and the satellite system has been removed. The user needs to have Cisco virtual private network (VPN) client software installed, which is not compatible with Microsoft Internet sharing. Since the interface that was shared is gone, I cannot use its configuration to disable sharing. I have tried disabling the routing and remote access service, but the Cisco software still will not install.
Well, you've done what I would have suggested. Your best bet now is to contact Cisco for support.
