I have one small business server PDC running Exchange, Proxy. We have installed one W2K SQL box running as a member server. We have another W2K member server to take over from the SBS box as the DC, when I figure out the best way to approach it. I want to convert the SBS PDC to an Exchange box after the conversion. How would you recommend I go about this? Is Proxy 2.0 easy to get going after installing the Proxy 2000 patch?
Generally, I would not think that you would need to utilize Proxy any longer. W2k comes with Internet Connection Sharing or the more flexible NAT (Network Address Translation). These work more seamlessly with the client machines and generally operate faster.
