Is there any way to disable folder redirection from occurring on a computer? We are using folder redirection in our enterprise, but I do not want it to occur on our generic and shared computers. Is this possible -- either via registry or GP?
Folder redirection is a User policy, so the application of this policy is based on the user account, not the computer account. You can use loopback processing to apply policy to the user based on the location of the computer account in Active Directory, however. Your scenario is specifically the purpose of loopback processing, and you can learn more at Microsoft's support page.
