Does Windows 2003 Terminal Server allow local drive mapping?

I have a question regarding Terminal Server and local drive mapping. Currently (as I understand it), Windows 2000 Terminal Server does not allow local PC drives to show up in the Terminal Server session. Do you know if Windows 2003 Terminal Server addresses this issue, or do we still need Citrix?
Win2k Terminal Services' version of Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) does not support local drive mapping, and RDP 5.2 (which comes with Win2l3) does.
