Does licensing prevent me from running extra nodes in Windows 2000 Pro?

If I am running a peer to peer network, with a "file server" running Windows 2000 Professional, am I going to be limited by any licensing (like 10 nodes) or could I potentially run up to 1024 nodes? All static IP. (I would never go that many, but in theory.)
Windows 2000 Professional will support a maximum of 10 concurrent connections to any network shares at any given time. If you are going to be supporting over 1,000 nodes, you will be doing yourself a favour by investing in implementing a server, where concurrent connections will only be limited by your number of licenses.
