Error when posting riprep image to RIS server

When I post a Riprep image to my RIS Server, I get the following message while files are being copied to the server:

C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication
DataMicrosoftNetworkDownloaderqmgr0.dat (and qmgr1.dat) could not be copied because of a sharing violation.

Do you know why this is happening?
This is the Background Intelligent Transfer Service, which is what Automatic Updates uses to download updates to the computer. What's probably happening is that you're configuring Automatic Update before running Riprep. When you run Riprep, Automatic Update has this file locked, so Riprep can't copy it. Nor would you want it to.

The better solution is not to configure Automatic Update on the image. Instead, configure Automatic Update using Group Policy. See this Microsoft article for more information about configuring Automatic Update using policies.
