Failed to setup a PC web-cam

I failed to setup a PC web-cam of Philips (Vesta Fun pcvc665k). The camera had no installation problems on Win98 OS. Do you have any idea why the drivers cannot work on Win2000 either?
While Win98 and Windows 2000 look similar on the surface, they are wildly different behind the screen. While a small class of device drivers can work on both operating systems, any device of interest will require specially written drivers for each operating system. Your best bet is to contact Philips and see if they have Windows 2000 drivers for the web-cam.
