Since 2005, has the value of VMware certifications gone up?
The inclusion of VMware knowledge and capability is certainly more prevalent today in job postings than it was in 2005. That said, looking at job posting sites like HotJobs, Dice, and so forth, I see very few positions actually calling for VMware certification. This tells me that if you earn one, you can make it pay by talking it up properly in an interview context. But if you already know VMware well, it probably isn't necessary to earn a cert in that area to enhance your employability or pay prospects.
