How can I decrease server response time through a hub?

We have approximately 10 users at a remote site using Citrix Metaframe to connect to an Oracle server at a central site. The clients run through a 10MB hub and then out over a 256k Kilostream link to the server. The users are experiencing very poor response times from the server. Any ideas on improving the speed?
Replace the hub with a 100-megabit switch. Switches are inherently faster than hubs and far better at dealing with network traffic, and are now cheap enough that you can replace hubs with switches without undue cost.
