How can I improve my chances of landing a job after college?

I am working on a BE in Computer and Information Systems, and I have found more interest on the networking side. Right now I am in my second year and two years later I'll be graduating. Is there any advice you could offer me on what I should do after graduation that would have great importance in the market?

The best thing you can do to prepare for the workplace is to look for internships or a part-time on-campus job where you can start digging into the work-a-day world of networking as soon as possible. I'd urge you to work at least during the summers (and investigate your college or university's summer placement and internship programs immediately, if you haven't done so already), if you can't or don't want to find a part-time job while you're studying. This will not only help you better focus your upper level course selections, it will also help you try the job out before you have to jump into it full-time.

Best of luck in your studies and career planning, and thanks for posting.
