How do I set up DNS for my internal domain?

I have a small network at home, Windows 2000 server with Windows XP clients. I have a cable modem and my ISP changes the IP Address once a day. How do I set up DNS for my domain (internal only)? Without it, logon is slow, but with it I can browse the Internet on the server. For the clients I can ping the server but not see or ping Internet addresses or browse the Internet.
You can set up Windows 2000 as an internal DNS server for an internal domain (*.home.local or something), and configure the internal server to forward non-local requests to your ISP's DNS.
