Example:
Remote IP Address: 216.239.33.100
Win2000 Server IP Address: 192.36.253.1
ISP IP Address: 61.9.82.34
ISP Default Gateway: 61.9.108.246
PC in LAN IP Address: 192.36.253.130
192.36.253.1 is running a DHCP server and it is connected to 192.36.253.130 by LAN. 192.36.253.1 is connected with the Internet with ISP IP address 61.9.82.34 and the default gateway 61.9.108.246.
How can 192.36.253.130 ping 216.239.33.100? I think this is a very easy question but I'm just a new with networking. Hope you can help me with this. Thank you very much.
Microsoft Knowledge Base article Q181347 addresses allowing pings to travel one way through an RRAS server, and should guide you through controlling how ICMP (a.k.a. ping packets) are filtered.
