How do you find out whether or not your computer is using a static IP address?

Sorry for the basic question, but how do you find out whether or not your computer is using a static IP address?
  1. Open Control Panel, then Network Connections.
  2. Right-click on your network card properties (probably labeled Local Area Connection) and select Properties.
  3. Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click the Properties button.
  4. If Obtain An IP Address Automatically is selected, then you're using DHCP (automatic addressing, not static). If an IP address is filled in, then you have an static IP address.
