Is 70-216 good first step toward MCSE for networking pro?
I am interested in obtaining my MCP as a start. I have quite a bit of experience in networking. Would the 70-216 exam be a good way to proceed? I hope to continue towards my MCSE but thought it would be good to at least start with the MCP.
You can't help but get an MCP when pursuing the MCSE because it will occur automatically when you complete your first exam. For that reason, I have to wonder if 70-216 is the best place for you to start--it actually requires a fair amount of knowledge about Windows 2000 Server (since that's where most of the IP services discussed in the 70-216 exam, such as DHCP, DNS, and so forth, operate). I'd suggest starting with 70-210 first off, then tackling 70-215 before trying 70-216. Use study guides, exam crams and practice tests to help you prepare for these topics and you'll do just fine.
