Is there a guide to help me configure Win 98 and Win XP on my home network?

I've had problems with getting a Win 98 and two Win XP systems networked so that I can share storage, printing, scanning, etc. Since each of the generations of Windows has different methods of configuring sharing, is there a link to a single document that can serve as my authority on completely configuring my home network?
The Microsoft Home Network Guide gives you an interactive wizard designed to guide the home user seeking assistance in designing their home network. By guiding you through a series of questions about your particular requirements, the guide can identify specific components for purchase based on your need. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=ADBDA816-DB45-4AEB-962D-03AC1EE12D14&displaylang=en. You can also check out the Home Network Center, which contains a plethora of resources for people setting up peer-to-peer home networks: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/communities/wireless.mspx.
