Is there a way to turn a program, be it a .bat or .exe or .com file, into a Win2k/XP service?

Is there a way to turn a program, be it a .bat or .exe or .com file, into a Windows 2000/XP service? I know this is possible with VB.NET, but I'm sure I read somewhere there was a way you could do this with nearly any program. Thanks.
You're thinking of the SRVANY.EXE program that comes with the Windows Resource Kit. Search for "SRVANY" on MSDN and you'll see how to use it. You need to either purchase the Resource Kit or have an MSDN CD subscription to get it.
