Making an image of an XP prototype machine

I'm running into a problem trying to make an image of an XP prototype machine. I set up my RIS server on a Win2k machine with SP4. I installed a new copy of XP on the prototype machine using the RIS server. When I try to run RIPREP I get the follow error: "The RIS server to which you are attempting to post this installation does not contain the correct CD-based image. The version of the CD-based image on the server must match the version of the system you are attempting to image[Version 5.1 Build 2600, Language English]. Please either select a different RIS server to post this installation to or add the corresponding CD-based image to the current RIS server." I checked technet.net and tried everything they suggested, but still I'm stuck.

Before you can create a RIPREP image you must have what's known as a "flat" image of XP with the same version and language. To do this, you need to follow these steps:

1) Make a local copy of the files on the Windows XP CD with no additional service packs. Place these in a folder on a hard drive. (This should be the OEM version of XP with no service packs installed.)

2) Download Service Pack 1A to a different directory.

3) Slipstream the SP1A files into the local copy of the XP install files. This is done by unpacking the service pack file with the -S: option.

4) Use this installation to create a system image.

5) Create a RIPREP image normally from the PC created from that image.
