Metadata already exists error

I re-installed Windows 2000 Pro. When I installed the IIS, it gave me an error message about Metadata already existing. Windows gave me three choices: Retry, Write un-encrypted, Write All un-encrypted. I went with the last choice. Now when I go into Internet Manager and Click on the Web Site, an Error pops up, "Object all ready exists." I can't do anything else with the Web Site.
My suggestion is to remove the IIS services using the Control Panel Add/Remove Windows Components applet. After the services have been removed, delete the %SystemRoot%\System32\Inetsrv directory. It may be sufficient to delete the metabase file, Metabase.bin. After you've cleaned things up, re-install IIS using the same Add/Remove Windows Components applet and you should be just fine!
