PC scans for Windows Updates, but will not download them

I have a PC on a Windows 2000 network that will not do the Windows Updates from the Microsoft site. It goes through the scanning, gets to 100% and then an error window comes up. I have 75 PCs running Win2000 on my network, and this is the first time I have seen this. I have tried reloading Windows, switching the network card and reloading IIE6 -- and nothing seems to work.
Microsoft has a troubleshooting Web site for Windows Update. I haven't seen the problem you describe, and so I can't hazard a guess as to the cause.
