Problem starting Internet Explorer when using Windows XP

I have a problem starting Internet Explorer when using Windows XP. The Dialog box reflects this message: "WINDOWS SCRIPT HOST Script: c:Documents and settingsAll. MenuProgramsstartupsearch.vbs Line: 3 Char:1 Error: Acivex component can't create object: InternetExplorer. Application' Code 800A01AD Source: Microsoft VBscript runtime error."

I tried system restore, removal and re-installed the latest Internet Explorer but without any success.

It sounds like the ActiveX components for IE may have become unregistered. Try typing these commands from the command line, in this order:

regsvr32 urlmon.dll
regsvr32 shdocvw.dll
regsvr32 mshtml.dll
regsvr32 browseui.dll
regsvr32 rsabase.dll

Systems with the Microsoft Java VM present, type: regsvr32 msjava.dll
