Problems accessing work domains from home using XP Home Edition

Why can't Windows XP Home Edition view all of the different domains and networks in Network Neighborhood? I use Windows 2000 at work, and I can view the different servers, but when I connect with Windows XP from home (via dial-up), I can only view the main domain and I can't see the other domains. I also used Windows XP Home at work but the results were the same.
Is the network configuration identical? You should have your XP Home system setup with the same workgroup name and/or domain membership to allow it to browse the same network resources.
