Problems using the DIRUSE utility
I would like to know of a command line utility that I can run from a batch script (or directly from command line) that can retrieve the total size of user's home directories based on a list that I provide. I used the resource kit's DIRUSE utility but it doesn't appear to bring back accurate results (the size is quite a bit less that what it really is). Any ideas?
One thing to be careful of when using a tool like DIRUSE is the actual disk space used by files vs. the absolute file sizes. With a lot of files, the difference can be fairly profound, especially if you are using larger cluster sizes or not using NTFS.
