Procedure for installing IIS onto a different drive

Since Windows 2000 installs IIS 5 by default, what is the proper procedure for installing IIS onto a different drive other than the default C?

The IIS system files themselves are always installed within the system directory, which is logical, because it is part of the operating system. So, if you want IIS installed on a drive other than C, you'll need to install W2k on a different drive.

If you merely want your content (HTML, images, etc) stored on a different drive, view the properties for your Web site and select the Home Directory tab. The Local Path field specifies the location of the content, which can be moved to any drive.
