Seagate hard drive won't boot from RAID/ide3

I cannot get the Seagate hard drive to boot from the RAID/ide3. WD drive boots/loads without problem. Seagate is listed under device manager in my computer and files are accessible. Seagate is under NTFS, WD is under FAT32. Is the problem because the Seagate files are NTFS? I have the latest BIOS and everything else.
It doesn't seem likely that the file system is the culprit here. You may want to double-check the settings on the Seagate drive itself, as well as the settings in the BIOS for the RAID controller, to make sure nothing is amiss. For instance, if the Seagate drive is set to the wrong device ID for booting, that might explain it.
