Troublesome post-installation client reboots

We have the "no auto-reboot if user logged on..."-option set for our SUS deployment. With that, we are having trouble with come clients when they click on "yes" to reboot to complete installation. The computer seems to never reboot on its own. The screen clears like it is going to, but never does. We have to have these users power cycle the machine. Any ideas? We are running Windows 2000 SP2 on the clients.
This really sounds like an issue between Windows 2000 and hardware/running applications. You should test a computer by removing non-critical processes and doing a reboot. If that does not provide a solution, apply Windows 2000 SP3 and contact your hardware manufacturer to see if there are any known issues.
