Upgrading from SMS 2003 Beta to its release version

We have an SMS 2003 Beta implementation and will soon be in the process of upgrading our sites to the released version. We have not found any information on how to do this properly, nor what issues/concerns we may come across while upgrading. Since we don't have the released version in our hands yet, I cannot say if this question is redundant. Thank you in advance for your reply.
Upgrading from a beta version of SMS 2003 is not supported by Microsoft. I know of those that have done it and had success, but you'll not find any public information on the steps to do it. I would suggest removing the beta version and then installing the release version.
