Value of MCSD versus OCP

I want to become a professional Application Developer. Therefore, I want to go for certification. I want know if MCSD (with VB track) has more value in certification or if Oracle Application Developer (OCP) has more value. Which certification track should I take and which will I get more benefit from in the future.
The Oracle credential is currently in higher demand, and pays better than the MCSD does. That said, the real story depends on conditions in your local area. Strictly on the basis of dollars and demand, however, the OCP trumps the MCSD.
