What certs does Microsoft offer in VB.NET?
I am a developer in VB.NET seeking for a Microsoft certification. I need information regarding how to go about this. I don't have any MS cert yet.
Interestingly enough, Microsoft has just announced a new set of certifications built around .NET Framework 2.0 and Visual Studio .NET 2005. Visit the
Microsoft certifications pages to learn more. You will probably find the new MCPD (Microsoft Certified Professional Developer) and MCTS (Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist) credentials of greatest interest, since both programs include multiple developer options. That said, the MCAD (Microsoft Certified Application Developer) and MCSD (Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer) tracks are likely to remain active for at least another two or three years, so they may be of interest as well.
You find links to all of these offerings, including detailed statements of requirements, through the aforementioned link in the preceding paragraph.
Good luck with your certification planning and preparation adventures!
