What is Inetinfo and why does it use so much memory?

Inetinfo is using a ton of memory. As soon as the server is restarted, its memory usage starts ramping up until max is reached. What could cause this?
That's probably a good thing! Inetinfo, the process used by IIS, uses memory for a bunch of things -- tracking user sessions, storing application variables and (probably most significantly) caching files to improve performance. Unless you're running a Web application with a memory leak, you can trust IIS to manage the memory and you don't need to spend any effort worrying about it.
