Just exactly what is the MCP certification and what is required?
The Microsoft Certified Professional certification is conferred upon completion of any of a large number of eligible Microsoft exams. It's Microsoft's entry-level professional certification, designed as a "starter credential" for people who may want to pursue administration (MCSA or MCSE), database (MCDBA), developer (MCAD or MCSD) or other Microsoft professional credentials. Visit Microsoft's MCP site for more information and MCP certification requirements for more details about requirements. (Basically, passing any exam that qualifies for any other Microsoft higher-level cert qualifies its taker as an MCP, but that's pretty vague, so check the Web page for details.)

HTH. Feel free to write again with further comments or questions.
