I'm not sure I have an opinion on that subject. But I can tell you that if you've already taken some of the Windows NT 4.0 exams that Microsoft recognizes as valid electives for the Windows 2000 MCSE, you may not have to take an elective exam at all (because you've already got one, so to speak). Check out the requirements section for the MCSE labeled "Discontinued Elective Exams". If you don't have any of those under your belt, statistics tell me that 70-222 (Migrating from NT 4.0 to Win2k) or 70-244 (Managing Win2k clients with NT 4.0 servers) are among the most popular electives for those with NT 4.0 experience under their belts, and that 70-088 and 70-227 are among the most popular with those who don't.
