The system BIOS is used to manage your computer at the hardware level, including the motherboard, RAM, processor and more. Occasionally, your hardware vendor will provide a BIOS update to correct an error or improve functionality. Consult your vendor's Web site or technical support before attempting to update your system BIOS, as doing so incorrectly can render your system completely inoperable.
