I am currentlly MCSE NT4 qualified, now am looking to upgrade to MCSE Win2k. Can you tell me
the best learning centres in London, UK, to do the upgrade course. I would also like the learning
centre where I study, to also offer a job placement service. How much will this cost?
Thanks for your recent inquiry. From my vantage point in the United States, it's kind of difficult to offer advice on where to get training in London. However, the Microsoft UK Web page at http://www.microsoft.com/uk/skills/default.asp has pointers on training outlets all over the country, including its capitol and primary metropolis.
My advice on locating a good training provider is to shop around to identify the training outlets of greatest interest, to call them and obtain pricing information and to ask for references. Be sure to check with those references and see what kinds of information they will provide. If there's a Windows User group in London (and I imagine there are several), check with them to obtain more impartial training recommendations.
Here in the US, the best deals on Microsoft training are often available from nearby colleges
and universities that have joined Microsoft's Authorized Academic Training Partner (AATP) program.
These institutions offer official Microsoft curriculum (MOC) classes at prices less than half those
charged at commercial training outlets. Although such courses take longer to complete (because they
follow typical academic course schedules) they are a great bargain if you can find them. That's why
I also recommend that you survey offerings from nearby colleges, universities, and technical
schools to see if you can locate similar offerings in your vicinity.
