Which certification would you say is more valuable in years to come. An MCSD or learning Java? I would assume it would be C# (C-Sharp).
That depends on whether you want to work in a Microsoft shop or outside the Microsoft umbrella. C# is a great language but over 100 large corporations--including IBM, Lotus, Tivoli, Novell, Netscape, and many others--have adopted Java as their official programming language. I see no such momentum growing for C# any time soon. If you want to maximize your chances of finding a rewarding programming job, I still think Java is a better choice than C#. This could change over time but not any time real soon.
