While connected to a LAN, a working offline message pops up

I've a WinXP SP1 laptop on a Win2k domain, and I'm using offline folders to synchronize my data with a shared drive, but while I'm in connected to the LAN the message "working offline" keeps popping up and WinXP disconnects from the share. I have other share drives mapped to other shares and they stay connected (but they are not set to work offline). The problem seems to only be with the share that's set to be available offline
This may be related to a bug in XP SP1 that was addressed in security bulletin 329170. The vulnerability affects the SMB (server message block) protocol, which is used for file sharing and group policy.
