Why can't our Windows 2000 machines maintain an AS/400 connection?
Our remote users connect to our AS/400 via a TCPIP. Since upgrading to
Windows 2000 Pro, these AS/400 connections cannot be maintained. Any machines running NT 4.0, Win98 or Win95 can still connect without difficulty. It's only the Windows 2000 machines that have this trouble. Why can't our Windows 2000 machines maintain an AS/400 connection?
First, if you have NetBEUI installed, remove it. A lot of people install
NetBEUI for backwards compatibility, but it creates more problems than it solves.
Also, is this an upgrade of an existing OS or a clean install? You may want
to see if a clean install works better if that's the case.
