Will changing the IP address range affect DCs?

We have a Windows 2000 server-based network. We want to change our IP address range. Will this create problems with the domain controllers (DC), or will they sync up with their new IP addresses OK?
In theory, it shouldn't be a problem as long as the IP addresses of your DNS servers are updated on the clients and the systems dynamically update the appropriate DNS entries.
