For the high price, I'm obviously going to be a little more critical, but again, you do get what you pay for. The image quality is excellent with great true-to-life color. This is where this camera really excels. Even my 8-by-10 enlargements were as sharp as any photograph I've taken with my 35mm film camera.
I had no problems when dealing with low light and glaring sunlight. Using the built-in spot meter in extreme situations yielded terrific results. There are modes for shade, incandescent and fluorescent lighting, as well as automatic and two custom settings.
One added feature I really appreciated was the voice memo recording, which came in handy when I wanted to recall settings I had used to capture an image.
You're also able to use interchangeable lenses, switch to manual operation and to a wide range of shutter speeds, which makes this a camera suitable for the pros. Fortunately, I found it easy enough to operate using convenient, frequent-choice settings. I think overall this camera is a great value for the higher price. It has all the features a professional photographer wants, yet is easy enough to master for any advanced amateur.
