First of all, for the low, low price, I think the HP Photosmart 320 is a great camera for a beginner or for anyone doing any kind of low-end Web work. I particularly liked the playback display for previewing. It allowed me to keep the images I liked and delete undesirable ones, freeing up valuable memory for retakes or new shots. Storage is somewhat of an issue with this camera if you don't have the secure digital memory card.
It couldn't be easier to upload images to the computer using the USB cable and with the digital camera dock ($79.99 sold separately): You can just park your camera and be connected to your PC or TV, and recharge your camera's batteries at the same time.
Image quality can be set to good, better and best, depending on what resolution you desire. However, I didn't feel the image quality was always suitable for 8-by-10 enlargements, even when using the proper setting.
One handy feature: Using the software to send images. I set up destinations in the software where I might want images to be sent (such as e-mail addresses and printers) then selected these destinations per image before uploading. The task was then handled automatically upon uploading. Pretty neat!
