This is a common problem that I have explored in detail elsewhere. Many programs cannot run correctly without administrator permissions, but many administrators are loathe to give users an administrator account, or administrator-level access. The most common solution is to use the RUNAS command, which can run a program in an administrative context -- but the only way to do this is by passing the program an administrator password in plaintext, which defeats the whole point! I've looked into several alternatives to using RUNAS, which are more secure. You can find out about them here: http://searchwin2000.techtarget.com/tip/1,289483,sid1_gci958510,00.html
