EXPERT RESPONSE
When a new domain is created in Active Directory the "Default-First-Site-Name" is created with it. Unless you specifically rename this site, it is not otherwise altered by Windows. The only subnet configured with the site is the subnet that matches the first Domain Controller. Any additional subnets and the subsequent assignment of those subnets to the sites is a manual process. Any child domain that is created has its domain controllers added automatically to the "Default-First-Site-Name" site.
