QUESTION POSED ON: 27 October 2003
We have Active Directory and Windows 2000 clients. How can I find out which clients a user is logged onto?

EXPERT RESPONSE
You can see some of the information in NET SESSION if you are locally connected to a machine and want to know who is logged on to it. You can use a SysInternals tool to examine remotely who is logged on to a system.

However, if you are looking for a tool that is fed a username and then tells you what workstation that user is logged on to, you can set up the CCONNECT.EXE from the Windows 2000 Resource Kit CD. This application is NOT installed automatically. You have to run the setup in the AppsCconnect folder.
