QUESTION POSED ON: 14 November 2003
In your recent review of Office 2003, you implied that you can deploy Office 2003 with both group policy and local installation services. But when I went back and read the instructions I saw that you can't use the two together. Local installation sources require the setup.exe, which group policy won't use.

EXPERT RESPONSE
In all my overzealous excitement about local installation sources, I didn't make that clear in my comments. Where I see local installation sources benefiting you most is with disk-imaging techniques and for laptop computers. In both scenarios, you're not as likely to use Active Directory to deploy Office 2003.
