QUESTION POSED ON: 03 February 2004 In your discussion about building an affordable practice lab, you missed the Microsoft products. Virtual PC is great, and its bigger brother, Virtual Server (in public beta release) gives you full access to the Virtual Sessions, via client and web page, from anywhere on the network. Having both products to use, I prefer the Microsoft products, because of the memory and system utilization.

Thanks for the feedback. I've aleady heard from numerous other readers with the same observations about the Microsoft Virtual PC/Server products. Interestingly, other readers have told me they prefer VMWare to Virtual PC because it works better for them for the same reasons you mention you prefer Virtual PC over VMWare--namely, memory and system utilization!
