QUESTION POSED ON: 30 March 2004
I have just set up a new Windows 2000 domain in school on which I am going to run XP Pro clients. I have set up two new OU's Staff and Pupils. The problem I'm having is that after setting up a group policy, the clients don't seem to respond to the policy. I am editing the group policy by right clicking the pupils OU and editing the group policy. Is this ok or should I be using a MMC?

EXPERT RESPONSE
I'm not sure I understand the last statement ... but, to troubleshoot, first make sure the user or computer accounts are in the correct OU. I didn't see that you mentioned that you moved the user or computers accounts INTO the OUs in question which have the GPOs linked. Try that -- that's the ticket!
