SMS 2003 Software Inventory detects when a file was modified as part of the inventory process. I need to know when a certain file was created. When I write a custom query I see that the SMS database has a field for Created Date, but the information is blank. How can I enable SMS to scan for a software file's Created Date?

EXPERT RESPONSE
Unfortunately, this field was left in for interoperability with SMS 2.0 clients. Software inventory data from SMS 2.0 clients includes details about file creation dates. This information is discarded when it arrives at SMS 2003 sites, and therefore is not displayed in SMS 2003 sites.
