According to an email sent by Microsoft to its employees, Bob Muglia, a senior vice president of the server and tools division at Microsoft, will now report to Jeff Raikes, president of Microsoft's business division. Raikes' group oversees office and software-bases services.

The developer and platform evangelism team led by Sanjay Parthasarathy, a corporate vice president, now reports to Muglia, too, under the server and tools business division.
Last year the company had several major restructurings. Just to cite a few: In January, it said it would merge its Exchange team and the Real-Time Collaboration Group into its then newly created Unified Communications Group. In March of last year, the company had a broad restructuring of its platforms and services division. And in June, Bill Gates said he would soon retire, which led to another realignment of executives.
