Microsoft June patches include four rated critical

Microsoft will release six updates next week, four of which will be critical and could cause remote code executions, the company said.

The four critical updates affect Windows, Internet Explorer, Outlook Express and Windows Mail. The company said the flaws have the potential to let hackers remotely take over a user's machine.

The Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer tool can be used to determine if a computer system needs these updates, the company said.

There are two other updates: One is rated important and affects Windows Office and Visio. It could allow a remote code execution. There is a second one rated moderate that affects Windows and could cause an information disclosure.

The patches will be released next Tuesday.
