Who took our survey? This year, 1,000 SearchWin2000.com members representing a broad range of industries participated. We collected the data online in March and April.

Of this group, 80% of those responding identified themselves as having direct responsibility for IT -- as either a staff member or a manager. Another 19% had jobs relating to IT management. Only 3% said their job was unrelated to IT.

About 46% of the people responding to our survey work for medium-sized companies with revenues ranging from $11 million to $1 billion. Another 40% of respondents worked at small-sized companies with revenue less than $10 million. And 14% of those who took our survey work at some of the largest companies, with revenues in the range of $1 to $2 billion.
